The eRead Illinois website will be undergoing scheduled maintenance this coming Sunday morning, May 1st, between 5 am and 9 am. eBooks & eAudiobooks that you currently have downloaded should not be affected; however, you will be unable to check out new items, or return or renew items currently checked out. 2016 Poetry: Imagine, Write and Win Contest
Twelve individuals were awarded cash prizes for their original poems on Tuesday, April 26 at the Poetry: Imagine, Write and Win Contest sponsored by the Crystal Lake Public Library, Rotary Club of Crystal Lake Dawnbreakers and McHenry County College, partnering with Crystal Lake Schools. One hundred and seventy-seven individuals ranging in age from students in grade 3 through adults, entered 256 poems into the contest.

Shelf Height Survey in Adult Services - "Access" was listed as a "Concern," from community members during the first FOCUS Community Engagement session in March. Some patrons report difficulty reaching the top and bottom book shelves. What shelf height works for you? Visit Adult Services (by the Info Desk) to observe a variety of shelf heights, then cast a ballot for your favorite "shelf height."

FOCUS Community Engagement Sessions
Help shape the future of our community by providing valuable feedback about Crystal Lake Public Library’s services and facility. Register for the FOCUS (Future of Crystal Lake Library Under Study) Community Engagement sessions. Residents planning to attend are asked to register (see below) to ensure there are enough tables to accommodate everyone. Each meeting will focus on a different topic. Participants may register for one or more meetings in the series. Please note: FOCUS Community Engagement sessions will be held at Park Place, 406 West Woodstock Street, Crystal Lake, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.
