EPIC Celebration Summer Reading Program
Early Registration Begins May 28

This summer, the Crystal Lake Public Library is celebrating 100 years of service to the community with an EPIC Celebration Summer Reading Program and special event for all ages. This year, in addition to receiving multiple prizes and giveaways, participants in the Library’s Summer Reading Program will earn tickets to the “EPIC Celebration” the Library’s birthday party for all ages, on August 24.  Participants can use “EPIC Celebration,” tickets for activities such as carnival games, minigolf, a photo booth, slide, obstacle course, inflatable rock wall and more.  The EPIC Celebration will also feature special guest Rob Elgas, Crystal Lake Strikers, Clef Hangers Barbershop Quartet, a juggler, balloon artist and other entertainers.

Stop by the Library beginning May 28 to register for the EPIC Celebration Summer Reading Program.




Storytimes

The first session of our summer Storytimes begins June 3 and will run through June 27. There are many benefits for children who attend Storytimes. Storytimes increase your child's ability to concentrate, and his/her capacity to pay attention for longer periods. Encouraging your child to share his/her experiences in storytime will help reinforce what he/she learned in the class. If you would like your child to participate in a Storytime, please register either online, by phone or at the Youth Services Desk. Registration with a CLPL card is required for most Storytimes. *A parent or adult caregiver must accompany children to the Storytimes marked with an asterisk.
